This incredible $299 iPad is your perfect summer beach companion

With temperatures climbing around the world, you’re going to be spending a lot of time at the beach this summer. And the newest iPad is the perfect device to bring along—especially when Amazon is selling it for $299 right now, a savings of $50 and just a few dollars off its all-time low.

The A16 iPad has a gorgeous 11-inch display and a fantastic design available in one of four vibrant colors: silver, yellow, blue, and pink. Even with a basic set of features, it’s still one of our favorite tablets, with USB-C charging, Apple Pencil support, and, of course, compatibility with the new navigation and customization coming in iPadOS 26 this fall. It’s also got fantastic battery life, 128GB of storage, and a speedy processor.

The main drawback is that this tablet can’t handle any of the Apple Intelligence features, but we don’t think you’re going to miss them, as we wrote in our 4-star review: “The pill is pretty easy to swallow in any case because Apple Intelligence’s development is behind schedule and we’ll probably have to wait until iPadOS 19 for the promised new AI version of Siri. Alternatives such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot are available as apps.”
