As we move through the remaining days of summer, Apple fans are eagerly awaiting news of the iPhone 17 coming in September. Now we might know exactly when the new phones will arrive, and it won’t be much longer.
According to “internal information from German mobile phone providers” posted by iphone-ticker-de, Apple is reportedly gearing up to unveil the new iPhones at an event on Tuesday, September 9. That would be exactly a year after the iPhone 16 “Glowtime” event, which took place on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Like all previous Apple events, the keynote will almost certainly take place at 10 a.m. PT. We expect another online event with Apple hosting press and influencers at Apple Park.
Apple is widely rumored to unveil a brand-new iPhone 17 Air model at the event, which will replace the iPhone 16 Plus. It is expected to be extremely thin, with a body that measures less than 6mm. However, reports also say the new phone will have compromises, including a smaller battery and a single rear camera.
Reports also claim the iPhone 17 Pro will have a new rear camera design as well as a thicker aluminum body with new, bolder colors.
Apple’s Awe Dropping event is set for September 9, 2025. Want to know what to expect? We’re anticipating new hardware releases including the iPhone 17 (running iOS 26), Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3rd-gen (running watchOS 26), and potentially new AirPods.
